Hello, Brothers and Sisters. I wanted to make a quick post to explain my absence. I got a touch of the flu around Christmas and I also have experienced a flare-up of a severe wrist injury (both wrists). I am definitely on the mend but am not able to write or type much right now.
I will be back soon with more messages and updates. Big things have been happening for all of us! In the meantime, I am re~posting something on Gratitude, because I am feeling truly blessed and grateful despite (or because of?) my recent challenges.

Gratitude ~ It’s not just for Thanksgiving anymore!
Gratitude is a very high vibrational state of Being. Counting your blessings and being thankful can propel you to new heights, especially if you are feeling low.
Achieving a state of Gratitude is easy. I’m sure you’ve all heard of Gratitude Journals and the suggestion that you make a list of the things you are grateful for at the end of each day. Try this tonight or right now and see how good it makes you feel to recognize that your life is filled with amazing Beings, moments, and things. Once you understand that your life is actually rich in blessings, it’s pretty hard to justify staying in a lower vibrational state.
I’d like to make another suggestion ~ when you make your Gratitude List, put yourself on it. Put yourself at the top of your Gratitude List. Be thankful for You. Be grateful for your existence, your achievements, your struggles, your past, your present, and your future. Be grateful for your uniqueness ~ the gifts, talents, and traits that make You who you are. Be grateful that you are Here, Now, participating in an adventure that has caught the attention of all Creation. You deserve to be celebrated and to acknowledge that other Beings are also grateful for You. If you cannot truly appreciate and love yourself, then you cannot truly appreciate and love others. We are One ~ when you are grateful for yourself, you are grateful for All.
Take time out every day to experience the bliss of Gratitude. Do it in the morning or at bedtime or whenever you are having a difficult moment ~ just look around you or think about your life and really see all the wonderful things that have been hiding in plain sight. Be grateful for them.
When we are in a state of Gratitude, it’s impossible to feel angry or sad or self-pitying. Gratitude connects you to source energy (Love) and is expansive and liberating. Gratitude makes you more compassionate and understanding. Gratitude can elevate you to The Flow of Unity Consciousness.
Speaking of The Flow of Unity Consciousness, another thing you might want to try is sharing the bliss of gratitude with others by thanking them sincerely for things that might surprise them. It’s one thing to say thank you when a cashier rings up your groceries but next time, try thanking the cashier for being cheerful. Thank your friend for having a good sense of humor. Thank an acquaintance on Facebook for brightening your day or having a beautiful smile.
Also speaking of The Flow of Unity Consciousness, it’s important to note that Gratitude, like The Flow of Abundance, is energy that must be given AND received to flow freely. When somebody thanks you for something, enjoy the sharing of the bliss of gratitude and accept their thanks gracefully and simply; don’t brush it off as if it makes you feel uncomfortable. When somebody thanks you, think about simply saying “You’re welcome,” instead of “No problem” or “It was nothing” or “Oh, you don’t have to thank me.” Allow gratitude to flow from the other person to you; allow others to experience gratitude and allow yourself to accept it. If it does make you feel uncomfortable to receive gratitude, appreciation, or recognition, work on dissolving these blocks in yourself.
Finally, I would like to refer you to my recent post On Abundance and Awareness, since the energies of Gratitude and Abundance complement each other and work synergistically. The following paragraph is from that post.
Gratitude is key to The Flow of Abundance. To understand and feel the joy of Abundance, become aware of and grateful for all the blessings in your life. Abundance is Love appearing as the beautiful Souls we call our friends, the green trees in front of your house, and the birds singing in front of your window. Abundance is blessings in the form of opportunities, unity, spirituality, information (light), freedom, free will, choices, experience, wisdom, flowers, music, art, animals, and so much more.
